Started in 2003 by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations, National Donate Life Month (NDLM) features national and local activities to honor those who gave the gift of life and encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors.
Each year, Donate Life America designs artwork to symbolize the meaning of NDLM. The 2015 artwork depicts spring showers and the symbol of an umbrella, representing how we all have an opportunity to play the role of the umbrella, or person holding it, for others in need. Donation provides hope, strength and life. Registered donors offer hope to those waiting. Recipients inspire strength. Donors give new life. Under the umbrella, we find comfort as the rain brings new possibilities.
