Many misconceptions about organ and tissue donation circulate continuously.  One such misconception is the idea that you have to be young in order to be an organ and tissue donor.  Many believe that donors are those who die at a young age in tragic, sudden accidents.  This, however, is not the case.  Donors can save and enhance lives at any age through the gift of donation.  If you are fortunate enough to have lived a long and healthy life, the gift of a long and happy life can still be given through you!  So whether you are 16 and getting you license for the first time, or 76 and getting your license renewed, sign up to be an organ and tissue donor.   Here’s a great piece on this from  Take a look here.
